My article this week discussed the using of digital imagery in an art classroom. But you can use digital imagery in any classroom. Wether using computers or projectors you can use images as a visual refrence to whatever you are teaching. In history or social studies you can connect students to the time and location something happened. In language arts and reading you take your students into the stories using digital imagery.
I think using digital imagery is a great idea. You can take your students out of a reading assignment and show them images that go along with it.

Hello Kacie Lynn
I agree that digital imagery can be used in many different subjects to benefit the students and further their comprehension of a topic. But I also think their are many aspects to digital imagery that you did not touch base with. For instance, the fact that students will then be inspired to create their own pictures for the purpose of presentation in class.

How did they use the technology in the art classes? I think there is a lot more to digial imagery than just pictures that you didn't touch on.
Hi KacieLynne! Digital imagery definately is a totally different way of introducing informatinto students! I also agree with you that in some way it can be used in every subject in school!
I agree that digital imagery can be used in any classroom. I believe that, most of the time, students can learn better with pictures and images than with written words.
I totally agree that digital imagery can be a valuable learning tool in all different classes. In a math class, students could take pictures of different shapes found in the real world. In history, students could do a collage of world war II pictures. In Engish, students could be asked to create a visual depiction of a story. I believe, though that the use of digital imagery should be closely monitored, for the protection of all students.
